Starting today, Service Pro will feature TomTom WEBFLEET integration, providing Service Pro users access to important fleet management data such as vehicle locations and travel times. All this, of course, leads to our users providing more reliable and efficient service by shortening ETA windows and automating customer service notifications.

A recent survey conducted by TomTom showed that 66% of service customers are expecting shorter service delivery windows, with a max window of about two hours. More importantly, 74% of respondents said that late or missed service appointments can be a reason for taking their business elsewhere. The seamless pairing of TomTom’s navigation technology with Service Pro’s management functionality was meant to address this issue, and makes life far easier for each person involved in a work order’s lifecycle. Here’s how: The Service Manager: With both Service Pro and TomTom improving field service processes for technicians, dispatch and inventory, managers will be able to increase technician utilization, improve first-time fix rates and make their customers happier. The Service Technician: With customer communication being handled almost entirely by dispatch and automated processes, technicians will be able to focus on driving and receive both real-time directions and work order details from dispatchers on a safe, heads-up-display. The Dispatcher: A dashboard comprised of technician information (skill set, status, availability) as well fleet management data (tech locations, travel times) will ensure dispatchers can get the right technician, with the right inventory, to the right place at the right time. The Customer: All of the features above mean customers will be rewarded with smaller ETA windows and better communication of those windows through email or SMS. And if that window changes, they’ll be able to get in touch with their tech through his contact info listed in the automated emails.
